Get to Know Mark Carter - Sole Owner and Operator

My name is Mark Carter, and I am the sole owner and operator of MC Iron Blacksmithing & Welding, an old-time blacksmith and welding shop in Stillwater, OK. My journey began in 1978 when I took up welding at my local vo-tech. I then got a job at a welding shop, building oilfield pressure tanks and my career blossomed from there.

I went on shoeing horses, then soon joined the Moore Fire Department. After a wonderful 35 years serving the community, I'm now retired and completely focused on providing you with unique, personalized products.

I enjoy making hand-made, unique pieces, but what I love the most about forging is when a potential client says, “I know what I want but I can’t find it.” I’ll sit down with you, draw it up, and then bring your vision to life.
